Validation for Driving CSTN-LCD Based on PC

  • 摘要: 针对彩色超扭曲向列液晶显示器(CSTN-LCD)的硬件驱动算法模型及灰度技术,建立了基于PC的程序模型,通过PC机及其显示屏模拟硬件驱动CSTN-LCD显示。并根据多线寻址算法与灰度技术的不同组合,均衡各种影响因素,保证在ASIC设计时获得最佳性能价格比的前提下,验证了帧比率控制-多线寻址-脉宽调制方案实现CSTN-LCD驱动的可行性,为下一步进行寄存器传输级的电路设计提供了有效的理论根据和参考。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, a software model based on PC is developed for the hardware-driving and grey shading technology of Color Super Twisted Nematic-Liquid Crystal Display (CSTN-LCD). The influence of different combinations of Multiple Line Addressing (MLA) arithmetic and grey shading technology are considered. By applying Frame Rate Control (FRC) and Pulse Height Modulation (PHM), the FRC-MLA-PWM scheme for driving CSTN-LCD is validated for high cost-performance ASIC design. It is believed that this scheme will offer a useful reference for Register Transfer Level (RTL) circuit design.
