Characteristics of Open-Type LHM Microwave Filter and Its Design

摘要: 首次提出一个用左手媒质设计的微波空间滤波器。左手媒质是一种人造媒质,在某一微波波段内其介电常数和磁导率同时为负值。利用左手媒质的特殊性提出了一个设计空间带通滤波器的方法,并给出一种频率为9.9~10.1GHz的带通滤波器设计。该滤波器具有用通常材料无法达到的优异的特性。Abstract: In this paper we first present an open-type microwave filter by using left handed medium (LHM). LHM is an artifial material with premittivity and permcability both negative within certain microwave frequency band. By utilizing the special characteristics of LHM, we summarize a method of design a microwave band -pass filter and give a design example of 9.90-10.1 GHz band-pass filter, this filter has excellent characteristics much better than the ordinary material can achieved.
