Abstract:
A class of mixed chaotic sequence, which is produced by combining logistic sequence and m sequence in the form of exclusive-OR, is presented in this paper. The period, balance, correlation and linear complexity for a class of mixed chaotic sequences are analyzed systematically. The results show that the properties of the mixed chaotic sequence are good, and the sequence generator can be easily realized by the use of digital circuits. It is a class of promising pseudo-random sequence in practical applications.

2001, 30(2): 120-123.
Abstract:
In this paper, a new method of speckle reduction in polarimetric SAR image is proposed. Based on the method, the texture parameters of multi-polarimetric channels are estimated simultaneously by the method of maximum likelihood under the assumption of multi-texture multiplicative speckle noise model. This method preserves the polarimetric properties, reduces the couple between polarimetric channels, and gets the better effect of speckle reduction. It is also compared with the PWF (polarimetric whitening filter).

2001, 30(2): 139-143.
Abstract:
Based on the fact that the tracking error asymptotically approaches zero, a new nonlinear delayed feedback control approach of discrete chaotic systems is presented. Such control approach that uses the step-N delayed output of a chaotic system to estimate the unstable period-N orbit and to be the tracking target can stabilize a controlled chaotic system onto a deterministic point in the phase space as well as a period-N orbit. Theory and experiments show that the control approach is robust.

2001, 30(2): 148-152.
Abstract:
This paper introduces UML(Unified Modeling Language) modeling method. Based on the experience of traditional software development method and the analysis of traditional three layered structure of abstraction in UML, two ideas of abstraction and decomposition are brought forward as the kernel modeling ideas of UML to construct the abstraction modeling mechanism of UML that generalizes the process of computer system into the process of picking up five cells:the function cell. the structure cell, the service cell, the implementation cell and the integration cell. The purpose is to make use of the whole semantics of UML effectively and to get over the limitation of traditional OO method and eventually to achieve the perfectly transition from requirement to analysis and virtual separation of function and implementation.

2001, 30(2): 206-208.
Abstract:
A simulation study on the transition properties of microstructures in the solidification process of liquid metal Al is performed using the molecular dynamics method. It is found that in the range of temperature of 943~50 K, the relative numbers of 1551 bonds related to the icosahedral structure increase remarkably, which play a critical role in the variation of structural configurations during the rapid cooling process. It is also demonstrated that with the decrease of temperature, the degree of the order of the system increases, while, the degree of disorder of the system decreases.

Wu Mengqiang, Chen Ai
2001, 30(2): 209-213.
Abstract:
In order to prepare suspending particles for electrorheological fluids, hetergeneous hydrolysis of acrylonitrile terpolymer is conducted in presence of saponifying agent(sodium hydroxide) in this paper. The effects of the saponification conditions such as the amount of added sodium hydroxide, time duration and temperature on the degree of saponification are studied in detail. Meanwhile, the conversion of nitrile groups is discussed with the result that the saponification of nitrile groups of the terpolymer initially yields amide groups, then slows down to carboxylic groups. The research sets a way for the preparation of dispersing particles of water-free electrorheological fluids tentatively used for controlling light transmittance.
