Abstract:
By viewing the optimum multiuser detector in code division multiple access communications systems as a combinational optimum problem, we apply the global optimum performance of genetic algorithms to design a kind of decorrelating multiuser detector based on parallel genetic algorithms(PGADEC-MUD). Theoretical analyses and numerical simulation results have shown that in aspect of multiple-access interference and near-far resistance, the PGADEC-MUD is better than the conventional detector and decorrelating multiuser detector and can be easily implemented by VLSI technology, which benefites from the parallel genetic algorithm.

2002, 31(3): 229-233.
Abstract:
This paper analysis the feature extraction method of handwritten Chinese character. The contour direction feature(CDF)and directional distance distributions feature(DDDF) are extracted from Chinese character image as a pair of feature vectors having good complementarity. After dimensions reduction of original feature using Karhunen-Loeve transform, these two feature vectors are combined to produce a new feature vector has high discriminating powers. Basing on the characteristic of RBFNN classifier, a novel architecture which integrates feature fusion and modular RBF neural networks classifier approaches into a small set handwritten Chinese character recognition system is presented. Experiments show that the system has achieved impressive performance and the results are informing.

2002, 31(3): 234-239.
Abstract:
Genetic Algorithms is Optimal Algorithm, which employ a search technique based on ideas from Darwin's natural evolution theory. A new genetic algorithm (NGA) is proposed in this paper, which not only can keep the population diversity but also has quicker convergence speed. The experiment results show that the improved genetic algorithm can efficiently find global optimal beyond premature convergence. Finally, using the NGA, optimizing the topology and training the weights for BP neural network are done. The results of the applications show that the new genetic algorithm is practical and efficient.

Abstract:
The traditional C/S database systems often suffer from the poor performance in the environment of Web applications because the number of users and the frequency or the times of accessing to a Web application are very difficult to be determined in advance. In this paper,a new method is proposed for the design, implementation and tuning of the Web based database system. This approach focuses on the configuration of RDBMS,the design of application model, and programming.By optimization on memory,on fragmentation,on disk parameters and on time related parameters,a better running environment of RDBMS can be set up.By reducing the CONNECT and DISCONNECT operations, creating suitable indexes, using more stored procedure and optimization on SQL,good performance can be got at programming step.By optimization on business logic and denormalization, the system performance can be greatly improved at design step.

Abstract:
For the reason of the difficult to save and manage lots of realities of objects in object_oriented design, such as add, modify, delete, query, based on the advantage of data base management system. The relation of data base management and object attribute, so we can put data base management into oriented object design, and we need to solute two problem:the store of object to data base and data base to object. Because oriented object has some character, such as classes relation and heirship, so we also need to solute them. The method is easy and useful.

Abstract:
For the speed servo system of the two-phase motor, analyzing its mechanical property and adjusting property while it is worked by amplitude control, factors to affect the two-phase motor dynamic characteristic are proposed, which are changes of its mechanical time constant and its gain factor. To prevent the dynamic characteristic of the system from being worse, as changes of its mechanical time constant and its gain factor, a simple following model reference adaptive control method can be used to improve the dynamic characteristic of the system and increase its controlling precision, by adjusting the model and the self-adaptive set. Computer simulation shows its availability finally.

Jiang Lijun, Shen Zhonghan, Sun Jingyan
2002, 31(3): 294-298.
Abstract:
This paper concerns the structure of inside and outside cylindrical shells with packing material between the two shells. Due to the eccentricity of the inside shell, there will be relative slippage between the inside & outside cylindrical shells and the pack material when the shells are subjected to transverse impulsive. After giving the kinetic equation of the structure, the mechanism of the relative slippage is fully analyzed, including the reason of the slippage, the effect on the slippage of mechanical factors such as the enclasping force, the eccentricity, the elastic inertia and rotary inertia of the packing and the impulsive load. Numerical results of an example, which prove the correctness of the theoretical analysis, are also presented. At the end of the paper, suggestions are given to control or avoid the relative slippage.

Zhang Jianzhou, Wang Ling
2002, 31(3): 325-327.
Abstract:
Constructing orthonormal wavelet bases from splines is a method used often. But when wavelet scaling functions are constructed by splines, first step is orthogonalization,in which an infinite series defined by Fourier transform of splines is summed. The approaches used currently to sum the infinite series are complicated. In this paper, the summation of the infinite series defined by Fourier transform of splines is turned to sum a finite series defined by splines over integer by means of spline properties, therefore computation of the summation is efficiently simplified.
