Abstract: A new scheme to suppress carrier frequency deviation for PCM/FM telemetry digital receiver is presented. Theoretical deduction proves that under the condition of all digital receiver, the ideal FM demodulated signal is equivalent to a signal with amplitude modulated by the frequency deviation. From this theoretical result, we propose a new scheme to suppress the carrier frequency deviation. Design examples and computer simulation show the new scheme is effective and applicable for more higher frequency variable rate.
