Abstract: A new minimum mean squared error (MMSE) detector based on widely linear processing combined with the decision feedback (DF) strategy for V-BLAST signals is proposed. It can deal with the poor performance of traditional DF detection under higher signal-noise-ratio (SNR). Simulations show that the performance of the proposed scheme utilizing optimal order approaches that of maximum likelihood detection. Furthermore, the algorithm with random order outperforms the Golden MMSE detection. Under the same simulation condition, there is at least 3 dB gain in bit-error-ratio (BER) performance by adopting widely linear processing.
