  • In this paper, architecture of Distributed Digital Broadcast(DDB) system is introduced first, then the difference of code standard and file format between Moving Picture Experts Group I(MPEG-1) and Moving Picture Experts Group IV(MPEG-4) is analysed, finally data sending mechanism in Digital Video Broadcast(DVB) is discussed in depth, as well as the design and implementation of video player at client side. In practice, DDB-system is of userfriendness, high efficiency, high availability, robustness and other advantages, and it is appropriate to far-ranging situations.

Abstract: In this paper, architecture of Distributed Digital Broadcast(DDB) system is introduced first, then the difference of code standard and file format between Moving Picture Experts Group I(MPEG-1) and Moving Picture Experts Group IV(MPEG-4) is analysed, finally data sending mechanism in Digital Video Broadcast(DVB) is discussed in depth, as well as the design and implementation of video player at client side.
