Integrated Design of an Equalizer with Temperature Compensation

  • 摘要: 提出一种工作在6~18 GHz的温补均衡器的一体化设计方法,该均衡器的核心电路由温度补偿电路、幅度均衡电路及3 dB电桥构成。温度补偿电路与幅度均衡电路采用一体化设计,可以提高在系统中的集成度。同时利用3 dB电桥的隔离特性,改善温补均衡器的输入输出驻波。测试结果表明,所加工的温补均衡器在6~18 GHz频段范围内能够实现3~5 dB的幅度均衡量、6 dB的温度补偿。

     

    Abstract: This paper proposes an integrated design method for the temperature-compensated equalizer, which operates in the frequency range of 6 GHz to 18 GHz. The equalizer is composed of temperature compensation circuit, amplitude equalization circuit and two 3-dB couplers. The integrated design of temperature compensation and amplitude equalization circuits can further improve the integration of a system. In the meantime, the utilization of the intrinsic isolation character of the 3-dB coupler also improves the input/output return loss of the temperature-compensated equalizer. The measurement results show that the fabricated temperature-compensated equalizer can achieve an amplitude equalization of 3~5 dB and temperature compensation of 6 dB over the entire frequency range of 6 GHz to 18 GHz.
