Abstract: In view of cluster-router protocols in wireless sensor network (WSN), we elaborate on classification and analysis of currently typical cluster-router protocols. The advantages and disadvantages of each protocol are examined from cluster load balance, data fusion, cluster-head generation velocity, cluster generation velocity, cluster maintaining cost, algorithm robustness, algorithm extendibility, and algorithm energy-saving property. The hot topics and tendency of the research are drawn at last.
