The Opportunities and Challenges of Complex Networks Research

摘要: 该文是2013年在杭州师范大学组织下所召开的复杂网络研讨会基础上的总结和拓展,包含了与会多名学者共同讨论修订后所认可的目前复杂网络研究面临的最主要的10个挑战,这些挑战既是当前复杂网络前沿研究的提炼,又结合了大数据发展的宏观背景。该文旨在为对复杂网络研究感兴趣的青年学者们提供具有参考意义的研究方向和建议。

Abstract: This article is an edited report from a workshop on complex networks organized by the Hangzhou Normal University in 2013, where ten challenging research problems in the field of network science were identified through collective discussions. These ten issues are formulated from the active complex networks research in the present big-data era, aiming to provide important research directions along with sensible suggestions and recommendations to young scholars with potential contributions into future research on complex networks.
