Abstract: This paper analyzes the enhancement of the system capacity in TD-SCDMA with ideal power control using smart antenna. The interference from both the self-cell users and the neighbor cells is taken into account. When different beam width of the smart antenna is adopted, the TD-SCDMA system is simulated, and the results of the simulation prove that the system capacity can be greatly improved since the smart antenna is adopted.
