基于军标的短波信道语音质量估计算法性能分析

Performance Analysis of Voice Quality Measurement on HF Channel

  • 摘要: 介绍了短波通信中估计语音质量的主要方法,针对文献1中SINAD估计算法的缺点,采用了文献2提出的新的短波信道语音质量估计算法——AI估计法,并对其在典型的短波模拟信道上进行了测试,将测试结果与SINAD估计法作了一致性对比分析。结果表明由于调解器的体制限制,AI法仍不能很好地估计语音质量,需用新的探测方案进行改进。此分析可供参照军标定制时参考。

     

    Abstract: Some major methods of the voice quality measurement on HF channel are introduced. To improve the performance of measurement by SINAD evaluation, a new method of AI evaluation suggested by MIL-STD-187-721 is adopted and tested. Articulation Index (AI) is a parameter to indicate the intelligibility of speech sound,which is not verified experimentally.This paper design a test to check the AI validation. The measurement is made on a standard HF channel simulator based on Watterson's model. The result of the evaluation is collected and compared with that of the SINAD evaluation. Since there is a little difference between those two methods, it is not necessary to adopt the AI evaluation on voice quality measurement on HF channel.
