Anti-collision algorithms at the physical layer for RFID systems: A review

  • 摘要: 射频识别(radio frequency identification, RFID)技术作为一种身份识别的关键技术,可以通过无线射频信号实现对物体的唯一识别。然而,随着RFID技术的广泛部署,标签数量激增,对RFID系统性能尤其是防碰撞能力的需求日益增长。该文总结了RFID系统流程和传统防碰撞算法的研究现状,并对基于物理层信息的防碰撞算法进行了详细的研究。从阅读器算法策略、天线规模、信道与链路以及标签规模4个维度对物理层的防碰撞算法进行了深入分析,总结了当前技术面临的挑战,并对未来RFID系统的发展进行了展望。

     

    Abstract: Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a critical technology which can realize the unique identification of objects through radio frequency signals. However, with the wide application of RFID technology, the number of tags is gradually increasing, and the demand for RFID system performance is also growing. Among the many demands, the anti-collision capability of the system is a widely considered application requirement. In this paper, we first briefly introduce the RFID system process and the traditional anti-collision strategy. Then, it focuses on the improved physical layer-based collision avoidance strategy. The improved anti-collision strategy is analyzed from four aspects: reader strategy, antenna size, channel and link, and tag size. Finally, the technical challenges in the current system are summarized, and the future direction of the RFID system is overlooked.
