Abstract
The main lobe interference usually causes the distortion of the main lobe and the increase of the side-lobe level in adaptive broadband beamforming. Circular arrays have been applied popularly for its wide scan range. A reasonable blocking matrix of uniform circular array is constructed for broadband beamforming to cancel the main lobe interference. The simulation verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method in avoiding the main lobe distortion.
