Design of Radar Pulse Compression System Control Unit Based on ADSP-2191

  • In this paper it is introduced in detail that radar pulse compression system control unit is successfully designed by using the powerful serial peripheral interface of ADI's fixed-point 16-bit digital signal processor ADSP-2191 and combining the CPLD function expansion and control. It has realized to control six pulse compression board with host computer. Furthermore, it can also control each board to process corresponding compression pulse and report the board fault status to host computer. Owing to the fast speed, low cost, powerful programmable capability, it can be widely applied to require all kind of complicated control and real time communication area.
