General High-level Stochastic Petri Nets for Modeling and Performance Analysis of A Transport Protocol

  • This paper presents general high-level stochastic petri nets (GHLSPN), by which the method of modeling and performance analyzing for computer networks is proposed. Several real network parameters are considered, such as the control by acknowledgement, window suits and repeat mechanism for errors, which generally determine the overall performance of the computer networks. The algorithm overcomes some restrictions in previous algorithms.
