Development of Four-hole Sutured CaP Bioceramic Ocular Implant

  • By wet-precipitation method, pure calcium phosphate powder with Ca/P P molar ratio of 1.67 and good Crystallization is synthesized in lab. A new type of four-hole sutured artificial eyeball is made by foaming through traditional ceramic technology. The eyeball holds a uniform and inter-connective micropores with an average diameter of 300 μm and a porosity of 75%. The new type of eyeball is used in the repair and plastics of patients' ophthalmosteresis, and there is no need to use the foreign sclera.
