Abstract
The essence of design in control system is a problem of solving contradictory performance criteria (CPC).In this paper, a new design principle, satisfactory optimal principle (SOP),is proposed in accordance with CPC. The weights of all-around performance criteria satisfactory function are obtained by analyzing approximative extent base on speed feature of CPC. An example of finding optimal damped ratio in second order underdamped control system is given.
