A New Adaptive Approach of Feeder Protection for High-impedance Arc Fault in Traction Supply System

In this paper, a simulation model of feeder high impedance arc fault in traction supply system is established and discussed in detail, and the signal characters of the arc fault are discussed Then, this paper proposed a protection approach based on the neural network, which provides a new approach for adaptive protective relaying and adaptive detection of complex faults in traction supply system.
