Abstract
A new algorithm based on the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) is presented for the determination of the parameters that characterize a periodic signal. The accuracy measurement of the signal can be achieved with a suitable windowing operation in time domain and an interpolation algorithm in frequency domain. The simulation result shows the availability and superiority of the algorithm compared with existing algorithms. The stability of the new method with respect to noise is verified by the noise analysis.
