Study of Optical Antenna for Laser Space Communication

In this paper,the theory of optical antenna gain of centrally obscured Gaussian distribution is described. According to the calculations, design curves are drown and the influence of obscuration ratios and pointing errors on antenna gain are studied.The analysis shows that even a pointing error on the order of microradians can strongly affect the antenna gain.The design problem of Cassegrainian telescope is also discussed.
