Evaluation of Voice Quality on HF Channel Based on Chirp Modem

Analogue voice is an important service in HF communication.In order to get a good effect of voice transmission, the channel feature of achievable voice quality should be evaluated.Based on the US military, standards an AVQ evaluation algorithm used in a new type of ALE modem-chirp modem is developed, which is originated from a coherent function algorithm in voice signal processing.From the experiment,it is proved that the performance of this algorithm meets the request of the military standards.
