Abstract:
Addressing the self-interference challenge in full-duplex UAV communication, we introduce an iterative, integrated self-interference cancellation and channel equalization algorithm. This approach develops a discrete channel model for single-antenna full-duplex systems that accounts for both self-interference and inter-symbol interference (ISI) of the desired signal. It also presents an MMSE estimate for received QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM symbols under these conditions and proposes an integrated algorithm for multistage cancellation and equalization, detailing its implementation.Simulations reveal that this integrated algorithm demands less hardware, minimizes delay from channel equalization in signal reconstruction, and achieves superior self-interference cancellation and quicker convergence. At an interference-to-noise ratio of 40 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 25 dB for the desired signal, the algorithm enhances suppression by 1 dB and lowers the demodulation threshold by 3 dB over current methods.
