Abstract: In this paper, the principle of high speed and high precision frequency sampling is presented. The question of the quantization error with the effect of the set-up and hold time is proposed and analyzed in detail. It is the first time that the probability density function of the time quantization error with the effect is derived. The work of this paper gives the theoretical foundation for the revision of the quantization error.
