Abstract: After analyzing the characteristics of polarimetric SAR images, the paper studies two methods of speckle reduction in polarimetric SAR images based on independent component analysis, then analyses advantages and applications of each algorithm. The experiment results show that the image edges are retained and the speckle are removed effectively with the methods of independent component analysis.
