Abstract: The importance of deploying CORBA technology in distributed real-time applications is studied. Typical real-time and fault tolerance requirements are carefully considered before developing realtime extensions to CORBA. Techniques to fulfill realtime CORBA objects and realtime objects bus are discussed and a real-time fault-tolerant CORBA frame model is proposed.
