Abstract: Lucas public key cryptosystem combines effectively Lucas sequence of Number theory with public key cryptosystem. Based on that, system's security is discussed in this paper. By discussing several attack ways which possibly attack this public key system, it is improved that the Lucas system is one public key cryptosystem based on two assumption. The effectiveness and security can be presented by the system.
