Abstract: In this paper, several kinds of coding scheme for optical code division multiple access are introduced, and then their advantages/shortcoming are analyzed and compared. A new coding scheme based on the transmission and detection of bipolar sequences in a unipolar system is presented, which is thought to be suitable for wireless optical code division multiple access communication system.
