Abstract: After analyzing the iterative-filtering algorithm of a stationary step size adaptive polarization canceller (APC), a variable step size APC algorithm is proposed. The convergence condition and convergence speed of the proposed algorithm are analyzed. The simulation and comparison show that the variable step size algorithm has higher convergence speed than the stationary step size algorithm.
