基于连续相位调制的椭圆球面波多载波索引调制

Multi-Carrier Index Modulation Method of PSWFs Based on CPM

  • 摘要: 针对现有基于信号分组优化的椭圆球面波函数(PSWFs)信号多载波调制方法,存在峰均功率比高的问题,该文提出一种基于连续相位调制(CPM)的椭圆球面波多载波索引调制方法。将具有编码特性的CPM调制作为星座符号映射方式,以椭圆球面波函数信号作为索引载波波形,产生调制信号,并利用最大似然检测与CPM差分解码实现接收端信号的检测与解调。该方法能以较小的误码性能损失和适量增加算法复杂度,有效降低现有方法调制信号峰均功率比值约2.90 dB。

     

    Abstract: In view of the problem of high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in the existing multi-carrier modulation method of prolate spheroidal wave functions (PSWFs) signal based on signal grouping optimization, a multi-carrier index modulation method of PSWFs signal based on continuous phase modulation (CPM) is proposed. The CPM modulation with coding characteristics is used as the constellation symbol mapping method, and PSWFs signal is used as index carrier waveform to generate the modulated signal. The maximum likelihood (ML) detection and CPM differential decoding are used to realize the detection and demodulation of the receiving signal. The method can effectively reduce the PAPR about 2.90dB of the existing method modulation signal, with a small bit error ratio (BER) performance loss and appropriate increase in algorithm implementation complexity.
