微光纤环形谐振腔微电光效应的研究

摘要: 对氧化硅微光纤环形谐振腔的电光效应进行了研究,分析了微电流调制下微光纤环形谐振腔输出光谱的特性。实验结果表明,在微电流调制下由电光效应引起的微环谐振腔输出谐振波长漂移的灵敏度为~500 pm/A,通过使用光纤光栅,实验测得由金属导线热效应引起的谐振峰漂移量远小于电流调制引起的谐振峰漂移。该微光纤环形谐振腔由于品质因素高、体积小、成本低,因此在发展电光调制的光纤在线滤波器及MEMS器件的微电流测量方面具有潜在的研究价值。Abstract: The electro-optic effect of a silica microfiber knot resonator (MKR) is studied. The characteristic of output optical spectrum is analyzed theoretically and experimentally. The experimental results show that the current sensitivity due to electro-optic effect is~500 pm/A. The wavelength shift due to the thermal drift of the wire is much smaller than that caused by the electro-optic effect. Such MKR has the advantages of high Q factor, compact size and low cost and therefore has potential value in developing tunable in-line fiber-optic filters and micro-current measurement for MEMS devices.
