Abstract:
For the analysis of near-field transmission characters of the hypersonic plasma sheath, layered media treatment is often applied to simplify the problem. However, it can only deal with the media with relatively simple distributions. For complex hypersonic flow field of real applications, this treatment will bring significant errors. In this paper, a frequency-dependent finite-difference time-domain method is utilized to accurately analyze the transmission characters of heterogeneous plasma sheath. Meanwhile, based on the numerical results, the basic tendency of the transmission process is further explored, which will also be valuable for practical applications.
