Abstract
The thermal effects of high power laser diode array (LDA) side-pumped solid state laser are studied and a theoretical model is established. Based on simulated the model, laser depolarized density distrbution in the perpendicular of active medium and the change in focus length of the thermal lens at the different pumping density are simulated with different pumping construction and different cooling condition of the lasers. The compensation on thermal effects is also discussed.
